Rajsamand: Rajsamand MLA Deepti Kiran Maheshwari inaugurated a state-of-the-art e-library built through the MLA Local Area Development Fund at Seth Rangalal Kothari Government College (SRK College). She also attended the college’s welcome programme for first-year students and planted a sapling on the campus, promoting the message of environmental conservation.
Addressing the gathering, Maheshwari said the e-library is not merely a modern facility but a powerful centre of knowledge that will help students realise their dreams, nurture their talent, and build a brighter future. Designed to meet the needs of the digital era, the facility will connect students with global knowledge, modern technology, and high-quality academic resources.
She said that in today’s age of innovation and digital learning, students need access not only to traditional books but also to e-books, national and international research material, online journals, digital databases, and study resources for competitive examinations. The e-library, she added, will strengthen students’ academic capabilities while making them more technologically skilled, self-reliant, and competitive.
Highlighting the importance of quality education infrastructure, the MLA said the state government is continuously working to improve educational facilities and is committed to providing students in Rajsamand with learning resources comparable to those available in major cities. She stressed that no student’s talent should be limited by financial or geographical constraints.
Welcoming the newly admitted first-year students, Maheshwari said college life is not just about earning a degree but also about developing leadership qualities, shaping one’s personality, and embracing lifelong values. Encouraging students to adopt discipline, hard work, innovation, and a positive mindset, she remarked that difficult circumstances help build strong character and that persistent effort ultimately leads to success.
During the programme, she interacted with students and encouraged them to use technology constructively for learning, research, and innovation. She said India’s youth have the potential to lead the world, and education remains the most effective means of unlocking that potential.
As part of the event, a tree plantation drive was organised on the college campus. Maheshwari said education and environmental conservation are both essential pillars of sustainable national development and urged every student to plant and nurture at least one tree during their lifetime.
The programme was attended by ABVP Chittorgarh Province Minister Jitendra Lodha, the college principal, faculty members, former student union office-bearers, BJP mandal office-bearers, public representatives, a large number of students, and distinguished citizens.
Concluding the event, Maheshwari expressed confidence that the modern e-library would become a strong foundation for knowledge, research, innovation, and career development for thousands of students in the coming years and would play a significant role in enhancing Rajsamand’s reputation in the field of higher education.
