**Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:** Ultrasound technologists must follow physicians’ orders precisely and conform to regulations. Prepare and assist patients for ultrasound procedures as requested by a physician.Helps patient transfer to the sono exam table and ensures adequate immobilization to perform the scan. Performs patient care tasks eg. removing excess gel from patient.Maintain familiarity of the emergency drugs and equipment's location. Maintain familiarity with the departments booking, scheduling, duplication, and PACS systems. Maintain professional and technical knowledge through training and fulfillment of continuing educationrequirements. Ability to maintain a great knowledge in cross section anatomy, proper positioning skills, and appropriate utilization of scanning techniques.High knowledge with variety of routine procedures and applications.Ability to maintain continuing education credits and professional licenses required by the New York State.Execution of related duties as necessary or as assigned. **Required Qualifications:** Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty(ies) as appropriate.Excellent patient and people skills.Ability to maintain a great knowledge in human cross section anatomy, proper positioning skills, and appropriate utilization of protocols and scanning techniques.High knowledge with variety of routine procedures and applications.Ability to maintain continuing education credits and professional licenses required by the New York State Department of Health, Bureau of Environmental Protection and The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.Our Company cares about the safety of our employees and applicants.
