Gas Field Specialists, Inc. is seeking a Truck Drivers to perform a variety of routine and complex transportation work in driving and coordinating transportation plans in support of Gas Field Specialists, Inc.
Specific Educational/Vocational Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent plus one (1) years’ experience driving a water truck, dump truck and/or hauling heavy equipment REFERRED but not REQUIRED
- Valid Class A or B CDL License Required
- Must be able to pass all DOT physical requirements and have current medical card
- Tanker Endorsement Preferred
Responsibilities:
- Operate company-owned and leased water truck, dump truck and winch trucks
- Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup and relocation of products and materials, including the use of a winch as needed.
- Perform required before-, during-, and after-operation “user maintenance” and provide required logs/reports.
- Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor; clean equipment.
- Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- May plan route to insure most economical use of time and equipment.
- Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.
- Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
- Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment.
- Ability to safely drive various vehicles.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to drive in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
- Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.
- Ability to make independent judgments which have moderate impacts on the organization.
