Job Description

The Lead Tax Administrator provides vital support to the Tax Department, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely delivery of client services. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and strong client interaction skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process, scan, and log client tax documents into Prosystem FX Engagement.
• Assemble, process, and deliver digital tax return packages for both individual and entity clients.
• Coordinate with clients on electronic filing consent forms; manage e-filing and releases to tax authorities.
• Support and maintain data for 1099s, W-2s, payroll, and sales tax filings as needed.
• Prepare and track tax engagement letters.
• Monitor deadlines and manage project tracking using CCH Axcess Workflow, generating regular reports for departmental use.
• File Form 990 extensions.
• Draft and prepare tax-related forms (e.g., powers of attorney, EIN applications, and responses to tax notices).
• Communicate directly with clients to provide filing instructions, request documentation, and resolve inquiries.
• Maintain accurate weekly time entries.
• Manage office supplies inventory and reorders.
• Enter and update client records in CCH Practice Management and Hubspot.
• Handle administrative tasks such as mailing, filing, and faxing.
• Assist with entity formation and coordinate filings with third-party vendors.
• Provide additional ad hoc support to the Tax Team as required.
