About the Role
Our Client is seeking experienced Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialists to support multiple initiatives within the Ontario Laboratory Information System (OLIS) and the broader lab digitization portfolio.
These roles will augment existing QA teams working on projects such as OLIS MORE, OLIS integration releases, OLIS Hub and Console, and other healthcare digitization initiatives. The focus is on testing complex, integrated clinical systems that support province wide healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of testing strategies, test plans, tool selection, and test effort estimates
Execute functional, system integration, and end to end testing for UI and backend systems
Perform connectivity, error handling, and data validation testing
Develop and maintain automated test scripts and integrate them into automated test suites
Create and execute test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data
Work closely with test leads, IT leads, and project teams throughout analysis, design, development, implementation, and support phases
Support defect management, issue escalation, test reporting, and traceability documentation
Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and support both manual and automated testing activities
Required Qualifications
6 to 8+ years of experience testing and automating applications within electronic health or clinical software environments
Strong knowledge of Ontario Lab Information System (OLIS) and related systems such as OLIS MORE, Lab Information Systems, Provincial Client Registry, or Provincial Viewer
Hands on experience with UI and web services automation tools including Selenium, Selenium WebDriver, SOAPUI, Dexter, and data driven automation
Experience testing RESTful APIs and backend services
Hands on experience working with ORACLE and SQL databases including test data creation and query validation
Practical experience testing HL7 messages and data structures
Practical experience testing FHIR messages and resources
Experience testing authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0 and JWT tokens
Experience working in Agile Scrum environments including test planning, execution, and reporting
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and GitLab
Nice to Have
Public sector or broader healthcare system experience
Knowledge of accessibility standards including AODA
Experience with ETL processes and data integration testing
Knowledge of information management principles and structured development methodologies
Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing activities
