BHE GT&S JOB DESCRIPTION BHE GT&S has an exciting opportunity as a Systems and Development Specialist at our headquarters in Glen Allen, VA.
RESPONSIBILITIES • Provides expert technical consulting with an emphasis on comprehensive testing and verification activities related to software deliverables.
• Serves as a subject matter expert in advanced phases of application systems analysis, particularly within quality assurance, testing tools, methodologies, and strategies across pipeline affiliates.
• Functions as a working group lead by guiding less experienced Systems Analysts, overseeing testing assignments, resolving complex testing challenges, and enhancing testing processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality software through the implementation of best practices.
• Defines and establishes the scope and objectives for all testing activities.
• Often acts as business expert and assists users in defining needs.
• Recommends best technologies to enhance current systems.
• Conducts system architecture and business information flow studies.
• Recommends appropriate computer platforms, workstations, and communication linkage to support specific business processes and information flow.
• Works companywide, in multi-platform environments, on multi-project assignments.
• Errors may cause significant disruption to operations or major costs.
- Please note that this is an in-office position and remote work will not be offered as an option.
QUALIFICATIONS At least 7 years' experience in programming, task management, and systems analysis.
Full technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis.
Education
Bachelor (Typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
Preferred Degree
Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Mathematics
