Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join
our team. In this full-time, in-person role, you will support licensed SLPs
by delivering speech therapy services under supervision, assisting students to improve
communication and achieve IEP goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy interventions following licensed SLP
treatment plans
Assist students in individual and group therapy sessions to develop
communication skills
Collect data, monitor student progress, and maintain accurate documentation
Collaborate with SLPs, educators, and families to support student success
Maintain a positive, supportive, and safe therapeutic environment
Adhere to professional and ethical standards in service delivery
Required Qualifications:
Valid California Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Certification
Experience or interest in school-based speech therapy preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow treatment plans and work under clinical supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with children or in educational settings
Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
Commitment to supporting students with mild to moderate communication needs
