Position Summary Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Paralegal with Healthcare experience to join our legal team with a focus on regulatory research and analysis and contract management. This role will support the General Counsel by navigating complex regulatory frameworks and contractual matters. The ideal candidate will have experience researching and analyzing federal and state healthcare regulations, strong understanding of contract drafting, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment. This role also ensures that all necessary licenses are secured and maintained across various states. The Senior Paralegal will also collaborate with internal teams and external regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Support and Document Management :

Draft, review, and manage legal documents including sales contracts and amendments, vendor contracts, Business Associate Agreements and NDAs. Support contract negotiations and maintain version control and ensure timely renewals.

  • Regulatory Compliance :

Provide support to the General Counsel by monitoring regulatory changes and assist in developing internal guidance and compliance strategies.

  • Legal Research and Analysis :

Conduct legal research and analysis on a variety of legal issues, including health care and privacy laws, summarize findings and provide actionable insights to the General Counsel and internal business stakeholders.

  • Project Management :

Work closely with other departments and external counsel as needed to gather necessary information to support cross-functional legal needs.

  • Licensure Support :

Work closely with Compliance to manage and renew WIN’s licenses and registrations, including Secretary of State registrations, state-specific Registered Agents, TPA licenses, PBM licenses, among others. Research and interpret federal and state regulations related to licensure applications and WIN’s lines of business.

  • Miscellaneous Support :

Provide additional support as needed across the organization.

  • Ensure adherence to firm policies regarding document review protocols and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, law, healthcare administration, or a related field; Paralegal certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of paralegal experience, with proven experience in regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with contract drafting and management; Experience with LinkSquares preferred.
  • Experience supporting senior legal executives.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
