Role Overview:
· The role is for a Senior Estimator with a focus on custom unitized curtain wall systems (primarily architectural glass and windows) for commercial buildings.
· The company engineers, manufactures, and installs these systems in-house, with a primary focus on large-scale, high-profile projects (e.g., skyscrapers, major commercial facades).
· The team currently has two very senior members (40+ years' experience) and three junior members, with a need to bridge the experience gap.
· The company is based in Mason, OH, with an additional office in Baltimore, MD. Cleveland is a separate business unit with a different focus.
· This is a strategic, long-term hire rather than an urgent backfill.
Key Requirements:
· 5-10 years of direct experience in the curtain wall, glazing, or cladding industry is strongly preferred.
· Experience as an estimator in architectural glass, curtain wall, or metal panel (facade) companies is ideal.
· Candidates from general construction backgrounds may be considered if they have managed glazing or cladding packages on large projects.
· Must have strong skills in accuracy, consistency, and time management.
· Ability to train and mentor junior team members is important.
· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present and explain estimates to customers and internal teams.
· Experience reading and interpreting architectural blueprints.
· Teamwork and collaboration are essential; the environment is highly collaborative.
· A degree is not required; relevant industry experience is more important.
· Estimator title or equivalent experience is expected.
Location:
· Role is in-person, not remote.
· Primary locations: Mason, OH (preferred) or Baltimore, MD (office available).
· Relocation is possible for the right candidate, but details on relocation assistance are to be confirmed with Michelle.
· Cleveland is not currently an option unless an exceptional candidate is found there.
