At St. Mark's, the arts play a vital role in helping students explore creativity, collaboration, and self-expression. We are seeking a Theater Teacher & Director to serve as a one-year sabbatical replacement, bringing energy, flexibility, and enthusiasm to a dynamic theater program.
Teaching at St. Mark's extends well beyond the classroom. Faculty members serve as advisors, coaches, mentors, and collaborators, supporting students as they grow artistically, intellectually, and personally. Our community thrives on connection and shared purpose, and we are looking for an educator who is excited to engage fully in the life of a residential school while contributing meaningfully to the performing arts.
You will be a teacher, director, mentor, and co-creator of artistic experiences. Your responsibilities will include:
Course offerings may shift based on the background and strengths of the successful candidate.
There may also be opportunities to teach a course in another academic department, such as English, depending on qualifications and school needs.
Some technical and production responsibilities may be supported by part-time staff, depending on the scope of the production.
