Salary: $65,000+ depending on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and perform clinical respiratory services for customers as directed by protocols or providers.
  • Deliver, set up, and provide thorough instruction on respiratory equipment to patients and their caregivers.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of service or treatment, assessing and addressing patient needs and therapy appropriateness.
  • Promote and market respiratory services to referral sources and the broader health care community.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and perform maintenance on oxygen concentrators and related therapy devices per reference manuals.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate equipment maintenance management records as required by organizational policies.
  • Educate customers and caregivers on equipment use, safety procedures, and infection control in compliance with regulations.
  • Assist in gathering patient and insurance information, ensuring compliance with internal and external billing and documentation requirements.
  • Provide on-call services as required by the company, ensuring responsive patient support after hours.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Current Respiratory Therapist license in the State of Michigan.
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and/or a minimum of one year relevant experience.
  • Strong patient care and clinical assessment skills in a home care or health care setting.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid, clean driving record; ability to drive in varying weather conditions.
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience in marketing or promoting clinical services within the health care field.
  • Familiarity with insurance documentation and regulatory compliance for medical billing.
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures in home care environments.
  • Background in conducting in-service training or staff education on respiratory equipment.
  • Previous on-call or after-hours clinical support experience.
