Tornado Transport is seeking a professional Premium Flatbed CDL A Truck Driver for a regional position based in the Southeast US. We offer consistent freight and weekly home time, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced flatbed driver.

Pay & Benefits

• Pay Options: You have the choice of being paid either $0.53 - $0.55 per mile or 27% of the load's gross revenue .
• Average Earnings:
  • Average Weekly Gross: $1,400 - $1,700
  • Weekly Minimum: $1,200
  • Annual Earnings: $70,000 - $90,000 .
• Benefits: We offer an excellent benefits package.
• Paid Training: Paid orientation and training are provided.

Home Time & Equipment

• Home Time: You will be home weekly , though weekend home time is not guaranteed.
• Equipment: You will be assigned a late-model Peterbilt 579 with a 72" high roof sleeper .

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum Age: At least 22 years of age .
• Minimum Experience: 1 year of OTR flatbed experience in the last 3 years. Must have experience with strapping, tarping, chains, and binders. Experience in hauling more than one item including steel is required.
• Job History: No more than 7 jobs in 3 years .
• Accidents: No more than 2 preventable (at fault) accidents in the past 3 years. DOT-reportable and rollover accidents must be 3 years old.
• Moving Violations: No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years . No major violations (following too close, improper lane change, or speeding 15 or more over) in the last 3 years.
• Combined Records: A maximum of 3 accidents and tickets combined in 3 years.
• Criminal History: No careless or reckless driving in the last 3 years. No DUI or open container in the last 10 years. Felony convictions must be 10 years old, or 10 years since release from prison. Misdemeanors are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
• Drug Test: Must pass a urinalysis drug test.
