Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse

Location: North Austin, TX

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, Day Shift

Pay: $40–$45/hr DOE

Duration: Contract-to-Hire, 1040-hour contract

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a recovery room/PACU setting (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• ACLS Certification (Required)
• Current state-issued RN license (Required)

Overview:

A Texas-based, multi-site comprehensive pain management organization is seeking an experienced and dedicated Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse to join the Surgery Center team in North Austin. This role supports high-quality patient care, contributes to clinical excellence, and plays an integral part in achieving organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, professional nursing care to patients in Pre-Op, PACU, and/or OR settings.
• Assess and maintain adequate ventilation, circulation, hemostasis, and level of consciousness.
• Deliver thorough and compassionate patient education before and after procedures.
• Identify and respond to patient complications quickly and appropriately.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Risk Management Committee initiatives.
• Compile and report monthly clinical statistics as needed.
• Maintain adequate supplies, equipment, and a clean clinical environment to support safe and efficient care.
• Adhere to all clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Provide consistent, professional care to all patients regardless of case complexity.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and help support the professional development of nursing staff.
