Job Description
Leading local manufacturer is looking for a Team Lead to oversee the Powder Coat department. They are seeking candidates that are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay Rate: Based on experience
**Responsibilities:
**
- Lead and support 1st shift Powder Coat area in achieving goals and standards.
- Coordinate start-of-shift preparation and organization.
- Supervise the hanging of products and preparation of surfaces for coating.
- Operate and adjust spray guns to ensure precise coatings.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance.
- Address and resolve production issues, communicating effectively with management.
- Enforce all company policies and procedures, ensuring team compliance.
- Train and mentor new and existing employees on company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and ensure the team achieves expected levels of safety, quality, and productivity.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing tools for problem-solving and continuous process improvement.
- Provide timely responses to internal and external customer needs and issues.
- Oversee the completion of 6S/TPM initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a leadership role is required.
- Powder coating experience is essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Punctual, reliable, and predictable attendance.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
