Position Responsibilities:
We are seeking a versatile and dedicated Patient Coordinator to provide excellent patient care and support in our Pain Management clinic. In this role, you will escort patients to exam rooms, obtain initial information and vital signs, and prepare patients for the provider. Responsibilities include reviewing and updating patient records, ensuring clean and well-stocked exam rooms, and assisting providers with exams and procedures. You will handle tasks such as ordering tests or x-rays, accurately entering data into medical systems, drawing up injections, preparing equipment, and educating patients and caregivers on specific care instructions. This role also involves organizing, answering, and responding to a high volume of triage messages. ORA holds all our staff members accountable for providing high-level care, maintaining patient confidentiality, and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations. As a Patient Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care and supporting medical professionals in various aspects of patient management, procedure assistance, and administrative tasks.
Requirements:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for candidates with CMA certification or a current LPN license (IA & IL). A minimum of one year of clinical experience is preferred. A successful candidate will have familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical terminology. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. The ability to work well within a team and collaborate with medical professionals. This position requires travel to various ORA clinic locations.
