Crystal River Lullaby Bed & Breakfast is nestled in the St. Martins Marsh Aquatic Preserve near Crystal River, Florida, offering a unique escape to travelers. Located in the heart of the Ozello area, the B&B is situated on a private island, accessible by a short bridge. Inspired by music, the B&B features four themed rooms, including the Tango Music Suite, the Classical Music Suite, the Country Music Suite, and the Celtic Music Suite. Guests can enjoy luxurious accommodations with “Comphy” sheets and indulge in a gluten-free gourmet breakfast served in various beautiful settings.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Live-in Innkeeper or Innkeeper Couple, located in Crystal River, FL. Seeking a dynamic couple or an innkeeper for a waterfront island 4-room B&B. Starting around October-December. Hospitality experience is highly preferred. Experience in hosting events is required.
A valid driver's license and personal vehicle are required, as our B&B is located in a secluded area, a short drive from town, and public transportation is not available.
We are seeking an innkeeper or a couple with a creative vision to help expand our business by hosting small events such as weddings, retreats, and private gatherings . This is a unique opportunity to not only manage a business but also to contribute to its growth. The ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality, an eye for detail , and a determination to create unforgettable guest experiences .
You'll be responsible for all daily operations, as well as developing and managing our new events initiative. This is a hands-on role with great potential for growth. A bonus/commission will be provided for all events booked and managed.
Responsibilities : Running the day-to-day business of the inn, cleaning and preparing guest rooms, keeping common areas clean, laundry services , handling inventory , preparing and serving breakfasts, and catering to guests' needs to enhance guest experience. As this is a dedicated gluten-free facility that also accommodates other food restrictions, all the meals served and prepared in our inn must be gluten-free .
Other tasks include providing guest services , making and managing reservations , maintaining the property, performing some light exterior maintenance, overseeing and managing the company responsible for maintaining the garden. And most importantly, maintain the high standards of our property and guest experience .
Develop and manage a calendar of events for the B&B, such as small weddings, retreats, and special dinners. Handle all aspects of event planning, budgeting, promotion, and execution, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up. Manage relationships with vendors and community partners.
Qualifications : strong multitasking abilities, problem solver , and attention to detail . Experience in managing and hosting events, as well as experience with Budgeting and Financial Management . Cooking and Baking experience or a degree in culinary arts. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience and a Food Manager Certification and/or a Food Handler Certification. A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is a plus.
Compensation includes salary, lodging, utilities, paid time off (PTO), and additional incentives paid on a per-event basis for special events such as weddings or retreats.
We are offering a furnished private quarter with an attached bathroom in our inn, along with on-site parking. Please note that we have only one kitchen. To maintain our gluten-free dedicated facility , we are seeking someone who either follows a gluten-free diet or is willing to adapt to it (we’ll provide the recipes). We are a smoke-free facility. We encourage only those who meet these criteria to apply for this position.
Our B&B is also home to three friendly cats. Applicants must be comfortable with animals.
