Location (city, state):

Industry:

Pay:

$70,000 – $87,000 annually (Direct Hire) + Bonus Potential

About Our Client:

Addison Group is hiring on behalf of our client, a respected and long-established architecture firm known for designing impactful civic and institutional spaces across Arizona. With a strong pipeline of work—including two newly awarded large-scale projects—they are seeking an Interior Designer to join their creative, collaborative studio. The team values design integrity, team culture, and long-term client relationships.

Job Description:

This is an opportunity to join a firm where interior designers act as interior architects—going beyond finishes to shape meaningful environments. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of experience and will contribute to diverse projects in the public sector. You’ll work under the guidance of senior designers, contribute to concept development, and take ownership of smaller projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop original design concepts tailored to public and institutional environments.
  • Create 3D models and construction documents using Revit.
  • Coordinate furniture, space planning, material selections, and integrated systems.
  • Support senior staff on complex projects and independently manage smaller assignments.
  • Collaborate with architects, consultants, and stakeholders through all design phases.

Qualifications:

  • 5–10 years of commercial interior design or interior architecture experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design (preferred but not required).
  • Strong Revit proficiency required; must be comfortable working in 3D and generating construction documents.
  • Experience with Enscape or Lumion preferred.
  • Nice to have: Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino or SketchUp, affiliation with professional design organizations.
  • Ability to create unique designs for varied spaces—no cookie-cutter solutions.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and self-management skills.

Additional Details:

  • Full-time, direct hire role with immediate start
  • In-office Monday–Thursday; optional remote half-day on Fridays
  • Reports to the Director of Interior Design and Firm President
  • In-person interview process (1–2 rounds)

Perks and Benefits: This position is eligible for

  • Flexible work schedule and family-friendly culture
  • Monthly office BBQs and seasonal events (tailgates, craft competitions)
  • Strong team tenure with a healthy mix of experience levels
  • Healthcare plans (some 100% employer-paid for employees)
  • Dental, vision, life insurance ($25K included), long-term care
  • 401(k) with 3% company match + annual profit sharing
  • Generous PTO starting at 3 weeks, increasing with tenure
  • Annual performance-based bonuses (paid consistently over the last 6 years)
