Job Description

The Judge Group is seeking a degreed Finance Manager for a Fortune 100 food manufacturing company in Colorado. The candidate will perform all duties as a Manager in an accurate and efficient manner, while following all company procedures and policies. They will manage plant assets through developing and coordinating annual budgets in line with prior performance. The Finance Manager will analyze performance against budgets and handle costing within the plant.

Responsibilities :

• Examines financial records and insure precision
• Supervises office staff, including answering questions, reviewing work performed, investigating problems, work scheduling, and writing reviews
• Controls company’s liquid and physical assets, including reviewing and approving expenditures, reviewing invoices, and installing safeguards to avert excessive waste or spending
• Prepares annual budgets and profit estimates for departments
• Approves purchase of all equipment for the office
• Analyzes customer and department performance on a periodic basis
• Examines and decides if new business is financially safe and beneficial
• Cultivates necessary computerized templates and financial forms
• Conducts appraisals of staff and performance reviews
• Formulates additional reports on period, quarterly and annual basis for the controller of the division & federal, state, and local agencies
• Conducts period, quarterly, and yearly closing functions
• Evaluates and re-evaluates Capital Appropriation as required by G.O. guidelines
• Completes safety observations when assigned
• Follows established policies, programs, and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet company and regulatory company requirements.
• Supports the creation, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems

Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree in Finance or Accounting
• 5+ years related experience
• Extensive knowledge of accounting practices
• Fluent literate regarding the English language
• Advanced math and computer skills
