Job Description

Instructional Empowerment is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Editorial and Administrative Assistant (EAA) to support our CEO in advancing both the organization’s brand and his role as a thought leader in K–12 school improvement. This is a dynamic position for a professional who thrives at the intersection of content creation, strategic communication, and high-level support.

Location: West Palm Beach, FL.
Hybrid: In Office/Remote

About the Role
The EAA plays a key role in shaping and amplifying Instructional Empowerment’s message across multiple
platforms — from articles, books, and newsletters to podcasts, conferences, and social media. Working closely with the CEO, this individual ensures that every piece of communication reflects the organization’s mission, tone, and vision for transforming teaching and learning in schools nationwide.  Equally important, the EAA provides administrative support that enables the CEO to focus on strategic priorities. This includes preparing for meetings, coordinating logistics, and anticipating needs to ensure seamless execution of daily operations.

What You Will Do

  • Create & Edit Compelling Content: Collaborate directly with the CEO to write, edit, and refine materials including articles, presentations, white papers, and book manuscripts.
  • Advance the CEO’s Brand: Identify and pursue opportunities for thought leadership — including conferences, podcasts, interviews, and media features — that amplify the CEO’s and company’s voice in the K–12 education community.
  • Manage Executive Operations: Coordinate scheduling, travel logistics, meeting documentation, and follow-up actions to keep the CEO’s priorities on track.
  • Ensure Quality & Consistency: Maintain editorial standards and ensure every piece of communication reflects a polished, professional image consistent with Instructional Empowerment’s mission and voice.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with executive and content leaders to produce customer stories, research pieces, and case studies that elevate the company’s impact narrative.
  • Stay Informed: Remain up to date on the CEO’s current thinking as well as national research and trends in K–12 education, policy, and leadership.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English, publishing, business, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in editing, publishing, marketing, or social media content creation.
  • Proven ability to craft engaging, high-quality written and video content across formats.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with video editing and content management tools.
  • Demonstrated expertise with current digital platforms that enhance productivity and communication.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional discretion and the capacity to translate strategic intent into actionable steps.
