Document Controller (Contract Team)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all incoming and outgoing project documents, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards.
- Maintain a centralized document control system (such as Project Sight) for efficient tracking, retrieval, and archiving of documents.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to collect, review, distribute, and update controlled documents such as drawings, RFIs, submittals, transmittals, meeting minutes, and permits.
- Ensure version control and proper labeling of all project documents.
- Monitor document review and approval workflows and follow up on pending actions to ensure timely processing.
- Prepare document logs, reports, and summaries as requested by project management.
- Uphold confidentiality, security, and integrity of project documentation.
- Assist in developing and improving document control procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in construction administration, engineering, or a related field
- Experienced (at least 2~3 years) in document control or administrative support in engineering/construction projects
- Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage, track, and file project documentation according to established procedures
- Experience using document control systems or platforms (e.g., Aconex, Project Sight or similar)
Key Notes
- Knowledge of construction workflows and document types (e.g., RFIs, submittals, transmittals, drawings)
- Experience working with Korean EPCs or Korean-speaking stakeholders
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management/document control standards
