A well-established, growing company in the poultry and food production industry is seeking a Director of Supply Chain to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations. This role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced, cold chain manufacturing environment, overseeing transportation, warehousing, purchasing, planning, and customer fulfillment across multiple sites.
What You’ll Do
● Lead and mentor a supply chain team of 40–50 employees (6 direct reports) across multiple production and distribution sites.
● Oversee cold storage logistics, raw material and finished goods inventory, warehouse operations, and all transportation—including protein movement, live haul coordination, and temperature-sensitive delivery.
● Own vendor negotiations and supplier performance—especially for protein, feed, packaging, and cold storage services.
● Align daily operations with cross-functional leaders in production, QA, finance, sales, and customer service.
● Ensure regulatory compliance (USDA, FSMA, DOT) and build a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
● Leverage systems and KPIs to drive cost savings, efficiency, and reliability across the entire supply chain.
What We’re Looking For
● 10+ years of supply chain leadership in food manufacturing; strong preference for poultry, meat, or protein production experience.
● Background in managing cold chain operations and perishable inventory across multiple locations.
● Experience working closely with processing teams, growers, or live operations is a plus.
● Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Supply Chain, Operations, or Business preferred.
● Strong leadership, cross-departmental collaboration, and vendor management capabilities.
● Track record of improving processes, reducing costs, and enhancing customer fulfillment in a fast-moving food environment.
