Job Description

KARDENT, voted "Best Places to Work" three years in a row by the LA Business Journal is seeking a highly skilled and motivated, California Licensed Architect to join our dynamic team. As the Architect of Record, you will play a crucial role in the design and execution of projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Your expertise will contribute to the realization of our clients' visions, while also pushing the boundaries of design and sustainability coupled with functionality. Experience with commercial architecture- corporate office, government, educational, healthcare and ground-up construction projects is required. Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) is highly desirable as well.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and refine design concepts that align with client requirements and project goals.
  • Prepare and review architectural drawings and specifications for accuracy, functionality, and adherence to project building codes, and other applicable regulations.
  • Lead the coordination of project activities, including working with engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, address design challenges, and verify compliance with architectural plans.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable design practices to bring innovative ideas to the team.
  • Engage in client communication to present design concepts, gather feedback, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Architectural License in California is mandatory.
  • NCARB
  • As a Licensed Architect, you will play a crucial role in the design and execution of projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Bachelors degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant commercial architectural experience, including experience leading projects
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design and drafting software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience in ground-up Construction and Design
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and permit processes in California
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with clients, team members, and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated portfolio showcasing a range of successful projects and design excellence
  • Located and able to commute to Long Beach, California or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Compensation:

· Salary range starts at $135,000+ depending on certifications and experience.
