Job Description

• We are seeking a Controls Engineer to join our client’s team in Defiance, OH. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with Rockwell PLCs, Fanuc robotics, and vision systems to support automation and control activities. This is a hands-on role focused on troubleshooting, editing PLC code, and ensuring reliable system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and troubleshoot Rockwell PLC code (no programming from scratch required).
• Support and maintain Fanuc robotic systems .
• Work with vision systems such as Cognex, Keyence, and IR vision (preferred).
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and production teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Diagnose and resolve automation issues quickly to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Controls/Automation Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven hands-on experience with Rockwell PLCs (editing and troubleshooting).
• Experience with Fanuc robotics .
• Familiarity with vision systems ( Cognex, Keyence, IR vision ) preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
