Job Title: Avatar NX Systems Analyst
Location: Remote (open to all states)
Type: Contract (Full-Time, 40 hours/week; long-term potential)
About the Role
We are seeking an Avatar NX Systems Analyst to provide critical support for our client's EHR team, that is modernizing their EHR. This position will be a mix of business analysis, testing, providing hands-on system changes, and project coordination. They currently have a high project workload and ongoing operational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on testing of forms, widgets, and system changes for Avatar NX.
- Write and execute test scripts for vendor (NetSmart) and internal builds.
- Create and update simple EHR forms, mockups, and system views.
- Gather requirements from clinical and billing end users.
- Translate specifications into actionable technical deliverables.
- Support multiple ongoing projects (billing system overhaul, state reporting, MEND integration, technical debt cleanup).
- Track deliverables and assist with project coordination alongside the EHR Manager.
- Provide assistance with user questions, workflows, and system tweaks across a user base of ~800 staff.
Must-Have Skills
- Avatar EHR (NX) hands-on experience (highly preferred).
- Strong Business Analyst skills (requirements gathering, writing specifications).
- Ability to create forms/mockups and execute thorough testing.
- Self-sufficient with a clinical technology mindset; able to navigate EHR systems effectively.
- Strong organizational and leadership qualities to manage competing priorities.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Clinical background or experience supporting clinical end-users.
- Understanding of myAvatar billing functionality.
- Project Management experience or formal training.
- SQL skills
