ABOUT US

Chief Solutions, Inc is an underground pipe inspection service company providing important services to municipal utilities including wastewater cleaning, storm sewer cleaning, and remote robotic pipe inspections since 1985 – serving Texas, Oklahoma, and the Gulf Coast regions.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounting & Administrative Assistant supports both our office operations and financial processes. We are seeking a self-starter who thinks critically, solves problems and can work independently. This role works hand in hand with officers, bookkeeper and accountant. It involves accurate processing of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and banking transactions along with processing of government certifications and reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong QuickBooks and Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to accuracy and professionalism.

RESPONSIBILITIES / EXPECTATIONS

  • Perform accounting tasks including A/R, A/P, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations using QuickBooks
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and financial tracking tools in Excel
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Maintain compliance documentation
  • Positive Attitude & Willingness to Learn: Demonstrates enthusiasm for learning and growth.
  • Strong Analytical & Organizational Skills: Highly analytical with a systematic approach to multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
  • Effective Communication & Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; works well independently and collaboratively.
  • Must be comfortable working in a construction type office environment

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Clear and effective communicator with a genuine interest in people
  • Technical & Accounting Proficiency: 3+ years of accounting experience in QuickBooks Online; proficient in MS Office; Advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience with bookkeeping, payroll, and financial recordkeeping
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Professional in appearance and conduct
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with teammates and customers

Not Required, but an added "Plus":

An understanding of Certified Payroll Reporting to governmental agencies for contract compliance

Knowledge of the Water / Wastewater / Stormwater industry
