India’s Strategic Global Standing Has Strengthened Under Prime Minister Modi’s Leadership: MLA Deepti Kiran Maheshwari
Rajsamand: Rajsamand MLA Deepti Kiran Maheshwari said that under the visionary and decisive leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India's global stature has grown significantly. She stated that Australia's agreement to supply uranium to India is not merely an energy partnership but also a reflection of India's rising international credibility, strong diplomacy, and expanding strategic partnerships. Maheshwari said that the uranium supply under the India–Australia Civil Nuclear Agreement marks a significant step toward strengthening the country's energy security. She added that the imported uranium will be used to support clean energy generation and nuclear power production, helping meet India's growing energy demands. The MLA said the agreement would play an important role in achieving India's national goal of 100 gigawatts of nuclear power capacity by 2047. She further noted that reliable nuclear energy would also support the uninterrupted power needs of future data centres, artificial intelligence (AI)-driven technologies, and industrial growth. Maheshwari added that, besides uranium, defence cooperation, the supply of critical minerals such as lithium, and Australia's support for the Gaganyaan mission would further strengthen India's scientific, technological, and strategic capabilities. She said such forward-looking international partnerships under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi would help make India more self-reliant in the energy sector and contribute to the vision of a Developed India.
