Digital Technology Has Accelerated Good Governance; Hundreds of Government Services Now Available from Home: MLA Deepti Kiran Maheshwari

Rajsamand | July 8, 2026: Rajsamand MLA Deepti Kiran Maheshwari said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the effective use of digital technology over the past 12 years has transformed citizen-centric governance in India. She said that more than 800 Central Government services and 159 Rajasthan Government services are now accessible to citizens from the comfort of their homes, making governance more transparent, accountable, and user-friendly.
Maheshwari said that through the UMANG app, citizens can conveniently access a wide range of government schemes and public services using their mobile phones. She added that over 55,000 e-Mitra centres across Rajasthan are providing more than 500 government and private services, while the Single Sign-On (SSO) Portal brings all major state government services onto a single platform, saving citizens time and resources and simplifying administrative processes.
The MLA stated that the Digital India programme has effectively brought government services to people's smartphones. She said the extensive use of digital technology has ensured that welfare schemes reach eligible beneficiaries with greater transparency while making service delivery faster and more efficient.
Maheshwari further said that Rajasthan is emerging as one of India's leading states in adopting digital technology. She added that the state government is continuously promoting innovation and digital governance to help achieve the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, ensuring that citizens receive simpler, more transparent, and higher-quality public services.
